THE PATH OF INSPIRATION PRESENTATION AT BASELWORLD 2017

On 27 March documentary The Path of Inspiration was presented in Basel, Switzerland, during International Jewellery Show Baselworld 2017.

The screening has taken place at Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois and was attended by industry professionals and media representatives.

THE SCHOOL OF JEWELLERY OF THE BIRMINGHAM UNIVERSITY

On February 14, 2017 the UK premiere of the film «The Path of Inspiration» which gives a history of Russian jewellery making took place at the School of Jewellery of the Birmingham City University and was attended by Birmingham jewellery industry and educational leaders.

73 VENICE FILM FESTIVAL – PREMIER OF THE PATH OF INSPIRATION

In September 2016 the documentary The Path of Inspiration premiered at 73 Venice Film Festival. The film is devoted to the history of Russian jewellery art, from its beginnings over 2000 years ago to the present day. It is a fascinating story, always influenced by huge changes in Russia’s history, going from great prosperity to near oblivion and now today, renaissance.

Gennady and Natalia Bykovs willingly apply to the past times where they find inspiration for expressing their feelings. One of their signature items are pendants made in the form of a small purse with the lock on top decorated with diamonds and other precious stones. Such purses have been very popular during the domination of the Art Deco style in the end of XIX — beginning of the XX centuries. Due to the original concept and the top craftsmanship skills those pieces can be attributed to the category of real jewellery masterpieces…”
